According to an agenda item for the upcoming City Council meeting on July 9, the City of Orlando has found a home for their upcoming Downtown Ambassador program, in the Centroplex Garage.

As we discussed HERE in May, the City’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will be relaunching the failed Downtown Ambassador program to help make the Central Business District a little easier to manage/experience. They will also have the job of “curbing aggressive panhandling.”

The City will be leasing out a vacant office space in the Centroplex Garage, at 400 W. Amelia Street [GMap], close to the Creative Village site. The terms of the lease begin on the 9th and will last for two years, with options to extend for one additional year. The CRA will be leasing the space for $5,319, 96 per year, and another $2,820 for utilities. Per year.
