Asian Florida Investmetns, Inc., is attempting to build a new Banh Mi sandwich shop in the Mills 50 District and has applied for facade improvement grant, under the name Paris Banh Mi, LLC.

The new restaurant will be opening in the former home of The Phantom Bar and Lounge, located at 1021 E. Colonial Drive [GMap]. They’ve applied for an interest-free loan from the City via the Small Business, Facade, Site Improvement and Adaptive Reuse Program.

Under the program, the City can loan 50-80 percent of the total project cost, but will not exceed $20,000. The Paris Banh Mi project is recommended for approval of their funding in the amount of $14,800 for their proposed facade work.

Paris Banh Mi (Facebook) will operate as a French bakery with Bahn Mi sandwiches and boba tea.
