New Winter Park “Cali-Mex” restaurant, Cinco and Tequila (Website), has announced a soft opening date of Friday, July 20 with a grand opening on Tuesday, July 24.

The new concept is being spearheaded by Greg Pranzo, a prolific restaurateur with owner of Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen and Bar in the Villages and multiple Wahlburgers franchises. Other backers include actor Mario Lopez and former NSYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick.

The menu will focus on unique dishes like Adobo Fried Chicken and Churro Waffles, Pizza Stand Nachos, and Cali-Mex Samosas, two of which you can see in our photos below. Guests will receive complimentary chips and salsa to begin every meal, with the option for tableside guacamole.

All tacos have the option of different wraps, including corn, flour, lettuce, cheese-crusted flour tortillas, or bao buns.

Brunch is served from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday for $32 per person. That gives you a choice of two menu items at a time, which are brought to you by your server. You can eat and drink as much as you would like during your visit and choose from the following options.

Other daily specials include Taco Tuesdays from open to close, offering all-you-can-eat tacos for $25 and special drink prices, a weekday Happy Hour from 4-7 p.m. and more.

Cinco and Tequila is located at 140 N. Orlando Avenue [GMap] in the former home of Carmel Restaurant.
