Maggie Doyne, founder of BlinkNow (Website), will be the featured premier speaker at the Rollins College 2018-19 Winter Park Institute Speaker Series on Wednesday, September 26.

Doyne’s presentation, “Start Now, Use What You Have” highlights her personal quest to provide quality education and a safe environment for women and children in Nepal. Doyne’s mission started on her gap year while she was backpacking in Nepal, where she used her life’s savings of $5,000 to buy land and build a home for 50+ orphans. In 2010, BlinkNow opened the Kopila Valley School, which serves more than 350 students, who also receive supplies, food, and medical care.

Because of her efforts, she was named 2015 CNN Hero of the Year.

Doyne’s lecture will be held in the Tiedtke Concert Hall of the Rollins College campus at 7:30 p.m. For more information on the Winter Park Institute season, click HERE.
