This special Greenwood Cemetery Walking Tour takes participants on a historical journey with a focus on civil rights and race relations in Orlando. In conjunction with the “1920 Ocoee and Beyond: Paths to Truth and Reconciliation” events, and the Orange County EJI Task Force, this tour visits the grave site of July Perry, the man lynched in Orlando in 1920 after attempting to vote in the presidential election, as well as the grave sites of other prominent citizens of Orlando.
This event is free and open to the public.
