WPRK, 91.5 FM, will be hosting Fox Fest, a music and arts festival at Rollins College open to the public. Admission is free, with food and beverages from local vendors for sale.
The event is scheduled to run 4:00 to 10:00 pm. Various artists from around the area are set to rock the stage at Fox Fest. MNDSGN is the headlining act with sounds influenced by a mix of gospel, and hip-hop. New York based singer/songwriter Margaret Glaspy blends lyrical songwriting with a raw rock edge that’s intimate and powerful. Florida-based Mag.Lo goes beyond one genre of music with elements of hip-hop, indie rock, and more. Leisure Chief is a new wave musical powerhouse that grooves for the enjoyment of all music lovers. The event will include art and activities from Rollins students and members of the local community. Beer will be sold by Wills Pub, and coffee will be available from Winter Park’s Foxtail Coffee.
Community involvement is highly encouraged. Fox Fest provides an outlet for Rollins organizations, local artists, and businesses. These groups will be coming together to make a multifaceted, fun event that anyone can enjoy.
Former Fox Fest Event Coordinator Hannah Miller said, “Fox Fest is more than a music festival. It’s a way for us at WPRK to celebrate our listeners and the local community. Fox Fest is an embodiment of everything WPRK has stood for over the years by supporting local talent, good music, and providing high quality entertainment for our community.” WPRK staff members strive to keep this tradition going for years to come.
Fox Fest will take place on Mills Lawn, the central green of Rollins College.
