REGISTRATION REQUIRED! The Polasek presents a workshop about the healing value of collaborative art presented by artist Marla E. Participants will create mixed media sculptural lanterns resembling fireflies that will become a temporary installation on display in the Polasek’s gardens during the Summer of Love exhibit and take home a lantern to keep. Beginners and advanced students welcome; materials included. General Admission: $85 Museum Members: $75 Register at polasek.org/exhibitevents

Presentation: Documenting a Collective Narrative

Discover the challenges and triumphs of documenting the historic narrative of the Pulse tragedy and other culturally significant events with Orange County Regional History Center Director Michael Perkins. Perkins will discuss the healing nature of this project and its challenges. The presentation at the Polasek Museum will be followed with an informal gallery tour.
