We’re killing two Wawas with one post here (pun intended).
The Wawa at 3025 Curry Ford Rd (at Crystal Lake Dr.) [GMap] is set to have a grand opening on October 3.
The Lake Como Wawa will be the first one in the Bungalow area.
Not too far behind will be the Wawa in Downtown South on Orange Ave. & Pineloch Ave. [GMap].
That space is now being cleared. The site was the former home to Carkie’s Restaurant, Willie’s Paint & Body and a used car lot.
We don’t know the opening date yet for this one and it’s not even listed as a future location on the Wawa website, but we do know that it will be a Wawa. We’ve reached out to Wawa’s PR team for more information on this location.

There was also talk about a WaWa at the corner of OBT and Colonial. The Rock Lake and Spring Lake residents tried to fight, and I don’t know if those plans are still in the works or not.
