Church Street Tavern Front

The Church Street Tavern (Website | Facebook) officially opens today after a soft opening this past weekend.

We told you about the Pittsburgh bar/restaurant back in July. It’s located at 120 W Church Street in the Bumby Arcade building [GMap].

Owner John Brown told Bungalower the Church Street Tavern is a classic northern style tavern. They serve his favorites from growing up in the Pittsburgh area including perogies and city chicken (a combination of pork and veal).

He said “we’re not a sports bar but a Pittsburgh Steelers bar. When the Steelers play it’s all Steelers.”

The tavern has an old school feel with dark wood, ornate tin ceilings and turn of the century light fixtures.

The menu for Church Street Tavern can be found here.

The hours for Church Street Tavern are 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 pm.m  7 days a week. Daily happy hours are 3-7 & 11-2.
