  1. Fashion Square is the home of SBDC Florida and an office of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida. There are stores in Fashion Square owned by Pakistanis, blacks, arabs, hispanics, asians. Sorry to see that all this means to you is a joke that sucks.

  2. Fashion Square is our “local mall” where people who actually live around here go if they need something from sears or macys… or just to take a walk in the ac when it’s a hot summer. Yes, mostly middle and working class people so the offerings are more affordable and simple. The shop keepers and employees are usually open to chat when things are slow, it’s a great place to be with people. So I’m glad about offerings filling up the empty space and that it’s more social in nature than retail.

  3. Who wants a mall like the Millenia one here anyway! Just more traffic and more tourists. That is what the south side of Orlando is for. And this does not look like an upscale venture, like Dave & Busters or Firkin Kegler. Come on, its main location is on the Jersey Shore!!!! (is anyone else thinking Daytona boardwalk?) Just as Orlando is surging forward with the art, sports fitness and expansion- this comes along. **Sigh**

  4. Take it down and build a real neighborhood.
Those teenagers in baldwin park probably have more discretionary cash than most adults and non-white people are people too (and their stores are stores too).
Competing with Millenia is probably not a realistic goal. It’s the most successful mall in the country, not just Orlando and half or more of its traffic is from I-Drive / Disney.

  5. Depends, if taking an upscale approach or just another kids hangout. Know they are remodeling/formatting the mall but if want to lure shoppers have to bring more upscale & unique shops to compete w/ Millenia & others

  6. It sucks. The mall is already a joke. Nothing but a hang out for kids that don’t spend any money. And a bunch of urban wear mom and pop shops. Now this.
