Kasa Tapas and Raw Bar is planning to open in the Chase Plaza in Downtown Orlando.
The restaurant will occupy the space that was formerly Urban Flats at 189 S Orange Ave [GMap].
The Kasa Facebook page describes the concept as “A global small plates – modern restaurant.”
Some of the menu items they have been showcasing on social media include mojo Cuban spare ribs, cod baccala bites, chef’s charcuterie plate, pan seared salmon, lobster deviled eggs, tuna tostones and cheeto fried yuca.
The chef listed on the Facebook page is Chef Josh Lyons. Lyons was a finalist on Food Network Star season 8.
We haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone at Kasa. They are a part of the Bento Group. The Bento group also runs Bento, Mochi Frozen Yogurt and Avenue Gastropub. They also manage two other concepts in Gainesville and three night clubs (two in Orlando and one in Gainesville).

Kasa is The Bento Group’s first full higher-end casual dine-in restaurant. Kasa opens to the public November 14 at 8pm. Starting November 15, Kasa will be open daily for lunch, dinner and drinks from 11am to late-night. Restaurant guests are welcome to dine, drink and relax inside Kasa’s modern tranquil atmosphere or enjoy the extended outdoor patio space, which will feature many special events in the coming year.
