Nov Lymmo Construction 1

We’ve been telling you about the new East/West Lymmo route that is being added downtown.

The new Grapefruit (Red) Line runs  between Westmoreland Dr. and Summerlin Ave. The buses will head east on Central Blvd and west on Church and South Streets [Map]

Most of the shelters for the new route are nearly complete.  The shelter on Church St and Terry Ave is the last one to be built out.

The other five shelters will be getting their information totems with LED screens and speakers this month.

Workers will also be adding the foundation for the stops (no shelter) on Central Blvd & Orange Ave, Central Blvd & Magnolia Ave, and at South St & Boone Ave.

East Church St continues to be closed to between Rosalind Ave and Liberty Ave as they repair the brick pavers on Church St.

Most of the construction will be complete by January and the new route will be operational in the Spring.

The Lime Line construction is expected to start soon.

  1. I noted the lane on Church Street between Magnolia and Rosalind was re-striped in the past week or so.
