Lake Eola Park is getting in the holiday spirit. This week workers are installing a 60-foot Christmas tree.
The tree will be decorated with over 8,000 lights and 6,000 ornaments. With more than 300 branches, the tree will take seven to 10 days to decorate.
Other decorations will be going up around the park and the downtown area.
For the holidays the City will also be showing movies in the park the first three Thursdays in December.
The movies will be A Christmas Story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carey Version), and Elf. Click here for more information on holiday movies in the park at Lake Eola.
Lake Eola will also play host to a variety of Holiday events including Holiday Lights Orlando and the Orland Christmas Parade & Holiday in the Park.
