The College Park Paper is reporting that Demetree Development is planning to construct at new retail center on the northeast corner of Hazel Street and Edgewater Drive [GMap].
The new Edgewater Plaza development will house four different retail businesses and a drive-through according to plans filed with the city in 2013.
The paper is reporting that the end units are already leased one to Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robins and the other to Domino’s Pizza. Dunkin’ Donuts will have a drive-through.
The drive-through was approved last year for this property provided it was for a low-impact, breakfast style eating and drinking use. The drive-though also needs to point north away from the residential area and can only be used from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Two retail spaces remain in Edgewater Plaza with approximately 1,250 square feet available in each unit.
The paper is reporting that construction is expected to be complete by mid-July.
We’ll keep you posted on the progress.
Here’s a look at the site layout from paperwork filed with the City last year:
CP IS the Italian food capital of Orlando! Craziness…… And no imagination!
Domino’s? Won’t they die? Shame, this area could use more non-chain variety.
More pizza! Thank goodness!! 🙁
Great. Another pizza joint. And Domino’s, no less. Blech. What about a Thai or Indian restaurant? Or BBQ? Or sushi? Or…
I guess they want a drive-thru. Hopefully something good will go where the old one is/was. 🙂
Wonderful. Hopefully they will have some dining as well.
bethrain Yes. Assumption is that one is moving.
Isn’t there already a Dunkin Donuts on Edgewater?
