SunRail-Florida Hospital 1

Over the course of the next couple of days we’re going to give you a photo tour of each of the Bungalower area SunRail stations.

According to SunRail these stations are 80-90% complete.

We’ll do another photo tour of each once the construction is complete.

The SunRail stations in the Bungalower area are:

The Florida Hospital Health Village station sits one block east of Orange Ave between Rollins St and Princeton St [GMap]. The station is 90% complete.

The new Adventist Health administration building will tie the SunRail station into Florida Hospital and Health Village. There is also direct access to the station from Princeton St.

The stop will provide access to Loch Haven Park, Ivanhoe Village and College Park.

  1. The goal of the commuter train is to get people to and from work. It won’t run in the late evenings or on the weekends. The way it might help them is there are already new apartments being built within talking distance to the station. I would not plan on taking a commuter train to go to a bar or restaurant. There are however buses that run up and down this part of orange ave about every 15 minutes. It’s only $2 to get on and there are stops about every two blocks.

  2. Thank you for your response, but how is this going to help the businesses (bars/restaurants/stores) on Orange ave?

  3. From Orange Ave you’ll either walk down Rollins street and turn right after the parking garage or you can walk down Princeton and turn left.

  4. We took the ride from Deland to Kissimmee hosted by Sun Rail…..it was fantastic! Really fantastic!

  5. Wow…missing some words in that…but you get the point… We’re previewing the Bungalower SunRail stations.
