Ask Bungalower: What’s Going on With the World of Beer at Lake Eola

If there’s one question we get for Ask Bungalower more than any other it’s people wanting to know what’s happening with the World of Beer at Lake Eola.

Back in October we shared with you that the patio was finally complete at the Post Parkside building at 431 E Central Blvd [GMap].

At the time we were told by the local franchisee that the World of Beer should open sometime in the first part of the year.

Well, that’s not happening.

If you take a look inside the large glass windows that face the lake, you’ll see there hasn’t been any progress on the buildout.

We’ve had heard all sorts of rumors about what was happening (sorry we don’t report those) so we reached back out to our local franchisee contact. He informed us that he was no longer involved in the project.

We spoke with staff member at the World of Beer corporate franchising office who told us that she had a different contact working on the Downtown World of Beer project and that they expect this location to open by May.

The WOB website still shows this location as coming soon and their expected opening date is June 30.

We’ve e-mailed the contact the WOB corporate office gave us and have not heard back.

We’ll continue to keep you posted on any updates to the Downtown World of Beer location.
