StarterStudio 2

The second class for the Starter Studio (Website | Facebook) gets underway this summer.

For the second class the organization is looking to raise $10,000 to support the program.

“We are using Kickstarter so we can raise the funding we need to run the program.  We also wanted to give individuals like us, who believe in growing the Orlando startup ecosystem, an opportunity to individually back our project,” said Starter Studio founder Gergg Pollack

The money will be used for rent, amenities and to cover event costs.

We covered the opening of Starter Studio back in August and the demo day for their first class in November.

Starter Studio is an accelerator located inside the GAI Building at 618 E. South Street in Downtown Orlando [GMap].

Starter Studio provides education, mentorship, legal and financial resources, networking opportunities, and the right culture to help innovative solutions grow.

The accelerator is a first for the Central Florida area. The 8,500 square foot space which is shared by Envy labs includes work space for the startups along with community space for hosting tech events.

“I like to believe that initiatives like starter studio help make Orlando a better place to grow tech startups,” Pollack added.
