Qarma Outside 095

Qarma Crêpes (Website | Facebook) opened this week in Thornton Park.

The new crêpe shop is located at 12 North Summerlin Ave [GMap] in the Thornton Park Central building.

Owner Yanis Rock tells Bungalower the crêpe shop caries “everything from savory and sweet crepes to coffee and tea.”

They will also serve beer and wine and have regular happy hours.

Inside the crêpe café you’ll find café style seating including an upstairs loft and wi-fi access.

The most unusual part of their business is that they will be giving three percent of each sale to charity. Each month they will feature three charities (a local charity, a national charity and an international charity) who will each get 1%.

This month the charities are the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, Feed America and Invisible Children.

Rock says he decided to do this even as a new shop because “I have this belief that business can be a force for good. So why not start from the beginning.”

The hours for Qarma Crêpes in Thornton Park are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Qarma Crêpes takes over the former Chili Spoons location.
