Every so often we like to give everyone an update on the top restaurant and bars we’re looking forward to in the Bungalower area.
Here’s a run down of the places we are looking forward to trying:
Barley & Vine Biergarten
Barley & Vine Biergarten plans to open at 2406 E Washington St in Milk District. The owner tells Bungalower that the space will be a craft beer garden with over 20 rotating taps and 150-200 bottled beers. They are getting close to opening and we expect you’ll be able to grab a beer sometime lat next week or the following week. Read more >>
Pig Floyd’s Smokehouse
Pig Floyd’s Smokehouse (Facebook) plans to open in Mills 50 at 1326 N Mills Ave, which was formerly Atilla’s Steak & Salad Turkish Cuisine. Pig Floyd’s is a concept from Thomas Ward, the creator of The Treehouse Truck. They are working to get variances from the City to allow them to begin construction. Read more >>
Orange Blossom Pilsner Plans Brew Pub
The Orlando based Orange Blossom Brewing Company, makers of Orange Blossom Pilsner, plan to open a tasting room and small brewery on Virginia Drive. Read More >>
PR’s Taco Palace
PR’s Taco Palace is adding a College Park location. The new location is in the former Taste Restaurant space 717 W Smith St. We now know that the new location should be open by Cinco de Mayo. Read more >>>
Ivanhoe Wine & Spirits
The owners of Savoy Orlando plan to open a retail store that will sell packaged alcohol. The store will be called Ivanhoe Wine and Spirits at Savoy and will be located in the space just south of Savoy at 1909 N Orange Ave. They were set to open last year but have run into some issues with getting all the approvals they need from the City. It’s technically a little too far south of us but we hear it’s an Ollie’s/ Fin Henry project…and since we love them there’s a good chance we’ll cover shortly 🙂
What is going in the old Tommy Addison’s building? Looks as if there is construction going on.

Is it just a coincidence that most all these are in Orlando Main Street districts? Or “wannabe” Main Street districts? 😉

Any idea when Barley & Vine might be opening, given the linked article gives last Monday as the target date?
Yep we wrote our story back in February based on talking to the owners. Unique Brewery is their official name. They DBA as OBP. Hope that helps.
