The City of Orlando is set to launch a new website in the coming weeks.

A City spokesperson tells Bungalower that the redesign of CityofOrlando.net will help residents get to the information they are looking to quicker.

The new design includes a universal navigation on every page, mobile friendly design and an improved site search.

The new site is expected to launch within the next couple of weeks as the staff puts the final touches on the website.

The new CityofOrlando.net is built on the open source content management system called WordPress.

Many other cities have started using WordPress as a way to save money on their website design and maintenance while still providing a website that is easy to update and runs on the latest technology.

Bungalower also uses WordPress as our main content management system for Bungalower.com

  1. Perhaps taking a look at www1.nyc.gov could help to set the right direction I’d get back to drawing board at this point. So far looks like useless blog with a bunch of colorful social buttons.

  2. Hopefully it will be easier to find departments, get basic questions answered and find employee/department contact info.
