We’ve been telling you about the plans to build a Residence Inn by Marriott on the corner of Orange and Colonial.
Construction is underway on the new hotel.
The new $21 million, seven-story, 138-room hotel will be a Residence Inn by Marriott and will include a 4,000 square foot restaurant on the ground floor.
The hotel will be in an “L” shape, will wrap around the Mama B’s. It will be on both Orange Ave and Colonial Drive, but not on the corner itself.
The construction is estimated to take approximately 14 months, so look for a Summer 2015 opening.
