With only two more days left of free SunRail service the ridership numbers are holding pretty steady.
On average about 10,000 trips are being taken every day. Keep in mind most people are making round trips so that’s about 5,000 people a day.
As of yesterday over 95,000 trips have been taken and so by the end of today there will be about 105,000 boardings.
Here’s a breakdown of the numbers provided by the Florida Department of Transportation:
- Thursday, May 1: 10,819
- Friday, May 2: 10,496
- Monday, May 5: 8,586
- Tuesday, May 6: 9,761
- Wednesday, May 7: 10,437
- Thursday, May 8: 10,675
- Friday, May 9: 14,749
- Monday, May 12: 9,849
- Tuesday, May 13: 9,825
- Total estimated boardings since May 1: 95,197
- Average boardings per day since May 1: 10,577
