The Adventist Health System Florida Headquarters Building is now open at Florida Hospital’s Health Village.

The building is located at 550 E Rollins St [GMap].

Rollins Street remains closed for the construction of the new Women’s Tower but the pedestrian access on Rollins is back open on the south side of the street along the sidewalk by the new building.

The nine-story building provides a gateway into Health Village for SunRail riders as the northbound platform leads directly into the building.

Rick Wassel, Executive Director & General Manager for Health Village told Bungalower that the one of the goals right now for Health Village is to provide a great experience and hub for SunRail riders. “We’ve invested $5 million of our own dollars to build out the hub of SunRail.”

That doesn’t include this building which will be the main building greeting riders as they exit the SunRail station if they head towards Florida Hospital or Orange Ave.

Wassel said the goal is to provide riders with retail options that will be desirable for those riding SunRail and for people who live and work in Health Village.

The first floor will house retail along Rollins St and will have vaulted and open ceilings to the second floor.

The third floor will also eventually house retail as this is where hospital workers will be passing as the cross from the parking garage or SunRail station into the hospital.

Here’s a look at some more photos of the new building:

  1. Such a nice looking building — great to see continued expansion of the FH mini-skyline.
