IZA Thornton Park Closed

IZA Tapas Bar in Thornton Park is now closed.

The bar was located at 712 E Washington St [GMap].

They served small plates and craft beer and wine out of a bungalow style home in Thornton Park.

On their Facebook page they mentioned opening a new location but provided no details.

We tried to get some more information but the phone number listed on their website was disconnected and our e-mails and Facebook messages were not answered at the time of posting.

Anyone know what happened?

  1. They probably couldn’t find anyone to work for them since they treat their employees terribly

  2. Someone was going to build a house there maybe 5 or so years ago called the miller residence. I’m sure bad timing nixed their project

  3. I have to agree with you. One of the biggest losses was Hue. Since it closed, just does not feel the same.

  4. always dead… Thornton Park has been getting slower and slower, and their in the high rent district, which makes it hard to provide the value required to have the demand to churn enough business to pay the rent… People don’t start their nights downtown in Thornton Park any longer, they just go downtown or they go to Thornton Park for dinner and go home…

  5. The owner Jessica said they are relocating. Hope that is true. I always had a great experience and they were top rated by Trip Advisor.

  6. What is with that fenced off land right across the street near the laundry Matt. That is a great location

  7. I noticed last weekend that they closed down. Seemed like the place was rarely open.

  8. Probably because Aroma sucked so bad, people still associated that building with it?

  9. Sad! They have great food! Aren’t they participating in that food event at the old Club Paris?

  10. I have seen so many business come an go at that location within the last 10 years….great location!
