Bar BQ Bar, Eye Spy, and Sky Sixty to be replaced with Spy Bar, Sky Bar and Old ’64

Bar BQ Bar, Eye Spy, and Sky Sixty will be closing on August 31.

The bars are located at 64 N Orange Ave in Downtown Orlando [GMap].

The owners tell Bungalower that they could not come to terms on a new lease with the landlord.

They plan to celebrate their past 16 years of business this month at the bars and on social media.

The Weekly is reporting that the owner of the Social/Beacham will be taking over the lease.

The new concepts will be called Spy Bar, Sky Bar and Old ’64.

Yes, most of us already called Eye Spy and Sky Sixty, Spy Bar and Sky Bar, so not many changes there.

Old ’64 they report will still be a dive bar but with more sophisticated drink options.

The new bars are expected to open on September 1 with the same managers and most of the same staff as the previous bars.

We sadly announced today that Bar BQ Bar, Eye Spy, and Sky Sixty are closing on August 31.

As you may have heard, we simply could not come to terms with our landlord. It’s unfortunate, but we’re going to make the best of it. We’ve been so excited by the response from the community this morning, and it is nothing but reassuring that the past 16 years have been well worth it.

In celebration of this final month of business, and the 16 years of memories we’ve created here, we’ll be posting all of this month’s shenanigans, as well as info on what’s coming next, on http://www.barbqbar.co and all of our social media profiles.
