We told you about plans to add a apartments to the Fashion Square Mall area, and today we’re getting a first look at what the first phase of those apartments will look like.
What is being proposed is a 250 unit complex made up of six buildings.
They will be a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments, with most being one-bedroom.
The apartments will be north-east of the mall just off the Cady Way Trail [GMap].
The property is currently a parking lot and retention pond. The pond will be moved.
As part of the project the developer will also be responsible for extending the trail through the property.
The plan is headed to the Municipal Planning Board and then to City Council for approval.
Here’s a look at the site plan and renderings submitted to the City for the Fashion Square Mall apartments:
Affordable rent, yes; Home Suit Home affordable weekly rates, NO!
Unfortunately, the City has a lot more control over the look than most people realize.
I just hope the rent isn’t as insanely high as the last two places that just opened. I understand them being new, and luxury, but we need more affordable apartments in Orlando. $1250 a month for a studio isn’t realistic rent for the majority of renters in this area.
Yuck what is up with these developers? Make a unique building!
Like them…
Not very inviting. Looks quite industrial.
Just like MARTA-Lindbergh-Center-Station
SOS !!!
It’s just a bland rendering – I am sure they will look nice. Nothing around Baldwin Park looks bad that’s new.
Ugly like all the rest
Are we down to one architect in Orlando now? Every new building is starting to look the same.
