Sponsored: The Downtown Arts District is hosting their Fifth Annual Dia de los Muertos & Monster Factory Exhibit starting tomorrow. The opening night block party will take place on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at CityArts Factory and Pine Street as part of Third Thursday Orlando’s Gallery Hop.

For the block party Pine Street between Orange Ave. and Court St. will be closed for live music, performances, art, food trucks and vendors, a photo booth and a kid’s craft area.

Music performances include Outer Toons, K&K Kumbia Kings, and the Ludes.  Additional performances will be by Macabre Cirque performance by Phantasmagoria, high-energy art performance by Salvador Live, and a live performance by Florida Tribal Dance.

The cost for the street party is a $5 donation.

The exhibit runs through Tuesday, November 14 during regular hours at CityArts Factory (Tuesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.) at 29 S. Orange Avenue.  The simultaneous exhibitions will feature the work of local artists in the theme of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and Monsters Factory (Halloween) including three haunting murals.
