We’ve been telling you about the new soccer stadium that is going to be built for the Orlando City Soccer club.
Today, the community is invited to participate in the groundbreaking.
The groundbreaking event will start at Church Street station at 5:30 p.m. At around 6:15 p.m everyone will march to the site of the future stadium on the northwest corner of Church Street and Parramore Avenue for the official groundbreaking ceremony.
After the formal dig, fans can participate in the groundbreaking and receive a clear miniature Orlando City commemorative paint can which they can use to scoop up and take home purple sand from the ceremony. They’re brining in 24 tons of purple sand to make sure there is enough.
A post-event street party will take place at Church Street Station.

Thank you for the update about the ground
breaking of the stadium. I can’t wait for the new stadium to break ground. This
is definitely going to put Orlando on the sports map as soon as they see the
passion our city has for this beautiful game.
Ah, so you’re the one.
gross waste of money.
Should be a good time
