We’ve been telling you about the bike share program heading to Orlando.
We’ve known that the program would start by the end of the year. Now we know which locations will be first.
The program with start with four locations downtown by the end of the year.
The locations will be near the OUC building, Gertrude’s Walk (just west of the rail road track on Central Blvd), Skyhouse (near the Orange County Courthouse) and Lake Eola (on the north-west corner of Central Blvd and Osceola .
The second phase, which includes the remaining sixteen stations, are expected to be up and running by March.
Part of the holdup has been ordering bikes with the proper technology including the GPS equipped bikes and NFC enabled payment system for Apple Pay.
We’ll keep you posted and let you know once the bike share program launches.
