A mobile farmers market is in the works for Central Florida that could change the eating habits of rural and inner city neighborhoods.
Built on a revamped Lynx bus, the Fresh Stop Bus (Website/Facebook) will be wheeling into 16 neighborhoods near you “sometime soon,” as they’re still awaiting their food truck permit and cementing their schedule.
Hebni Nutrition (Website/Facebook), the brains behind the bus, hope to alleviate the lack of fresh produce in rural and urban neighborhoods by bringing the food to a customer base who often have no means of transportation other than Lynx to do their shopping.
The Fresh Stop Bus is currently competing for a $40,000 Gro1000 grant (vote for them HERE) from Miracle-Grow that could help them in their mission to alleviate the Food Desert pressure in Central Florida neighborhoods.
Check out this video by Prestige Food Trucks to get a good look at this great project.
