The unnamed school will be built in the Southwest corner of Parramore Avenue and Amelia Street with funding from OCPS, the Rosen Foundation, UCF, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Valencia College and the City of Orlando.

The school will have a preschool program for two to three-year-old children funded by the Rosen Foundation, which will also be paying for any Jones High School graduate living in Parramore to attend any two-year, four-year or technical or vocational college of their choice, in Florida.

UCF and Valencia will operate a teacher internship program for their education students at the school and provide a number of scholarship opportunities, like a four-year scholarship to the UCF Medical School to students who meet the requirements.

Boys & Girls Club will provide on-site after school development programs for six to 18-year-olds.

The approved budget for this project is $41.3M and it is scheduled to open in Aug. 2017
