Deconstructing Reality
A solo exhibition featuring a series of drawings by Virginia-based artist, Nikki Painter. As a graduate student, Painter was drawn to demolition sites; she was fascinated by forms of deconstruction. Through her drawing studies on-site she realized that like any living being, architectural structures went through a natural life cycle. A structure is created, then it starts to deteriorate via natural causes, it then is demolished, and a new structure is created. Painter illustrates this in her work through the…

PechaKucha Night Orlando v15
PechaKucha Night is an entertainment event held several times a year in downtown Orlando. It’s a format that makes the presentations concise and keeps things moving at a rapid…

With his upcoming tour, Alton Brown brings his brand of quirky humor and culinary-science antics to the stage. The two-hour show is a unique blend of standup comedy, food experimentation, talk show antics, multimedia lecture, and, for the first time…live music. Audience interaction is strictly enforced throughout the evening, though if you’re called upon as a culinary assistant you’ll definitely want to take the lab coat Brown offers, as things tend to get messy.
