ArtReach Orlando (Facebook | Website), a local arts organization that brings art programming to children in under-served communities in Central Florida, will be launching a mobile art classroom later in the month.

This specific ArtReach Orlando program is part of a regular rotation of artists who will host art classes around Orange County, from a mobile art classroom/truck. It will be parking at a number of TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaars (Website), community centers, art events and schools.

The Mobile Art Classroom aims to provide artists and the artistically curious with the a low barrier introduction to different art practices and media.

Classes will range from free to $20 depending on the cost of the materials and the activity in question.

The truck will be operational on the weekends as well as during special events and in addition to their free community programming, will be available for rental and private parties.

ArtReach has funded a number of public art projects in Central Florida, including a photo exhibit of families in Bithlo, murals at Corner Lake Middle School with artist Christie Miga (Website), a found object mosaic mural with artist Janis Nunez (Website), and most recently a 3-D buffalo mural with Boy Kong (Website).
