The local chapter of the Awesome Foundation (Website) has awarded its February grant to a local toy maker.

The Awesome Foundation is a global network of people who band together in groups of ten.  Each Awesome donor contributes $100 into a single pot. They take applications from local “awesome” candidates and then award their favorite applicant with $1000 to make their project happen.

According to the application, submitted by his nephew, Ray Kendrick has been building hand built toys and donating them to several different charities around the greater Orlando area for years.

He has apparently donated over 4,000 hand-built toys, paid for all out of his own pocket.
