A new restaurant has come to the former Dunkin’ Donuts location [Gmap] in College Park.

The Southern-ish menu of the Outpost Neighborhood Kitchen (Facebook) features a number of dishes that are made with ingredients that are sourced from other local (or Florida-based) businesses; like sauces made with Florida beers like Funky Buddha or Bold City, dips by Shirley’s Salsa (Facebook), or s’mores made with marshmallows from Wondermade (Facebook).

Wine and beer is available on draft. All of the draft beers but one are from Florida breweries. Flights are available for wine and beer. Half-bottle wine service will be available soon.

The Outpost has an in-house sommelier, Gwen, who is still in the process of training her new staff on the intricacies of her hand-built drink menu. The bar will also have craft cocktails but they were still finessing the list when Bungalower visited.

The restaurant just recently opened, as evidenced by the photo below of a man on a ladder by the front door, and asks all of its diners to bare with them as the new staff tries to find their rhythm.

Reservations are not available during this trial-soft opening period, but according to their Facebook page, walk-ins are encouraged for “patient people who are willing to let my team practice on them.”

  1. It’s been four years of them finding their rhythm and their service is still beyond awful! Time to move on to something else.
