Downtown gay club hot spot Brink is reopening this Friday at 9 p.m.
The management, (more specifically, Chris Pittman of Gilt’s Penthaus at Thrive fame) said they would no longer have designated drag nights (the now-famous Ginger Minj of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame, used to perform there) but that drag would always be welcome.
The music will be transitioning into more of a top 40/EDM music vibe for a “mixed young crowd.”
Brink will be sticking with the two-day a week party template it used to have with a local resident DJ on Fridays and a more circuit party-themed Super Sonic Saturday featuring dancers and big-name international circuit DJs.
The front bar, otherwise known as the Lucky’s Lounge, which has a ’70s retro feel, will feature game nights, karaoke and craft cocktails.
We got a tour of the space on Monday and it’s still in the process of being overhauled for the Friday opening party, so we were asked to only show photos of the murals and leave out the dirtier bits.
The murals below were painted by local artist, German Lemus (Website).
Thank god, a gay bar without DRAG!
We are opening Friday at 9PM, Stephen. I hope you can make it!

I was wondering why they suddenly stopped posting on their Facebook.
