Thanks to a frequent Bungalower reader, we were able to find this graphic detailing the extent to which the Ivanhoe I-4 ramp area will be changing due to the I-4 Ultimate expansion.
As seen above, the entire exit ramp will disappear and two new on-ramps will replace it and it is scheduled to close overnight on Sunday, June 21.
According to a spokesperson for I-4 Ultimate, the Ivanhoe Boulevard ramp is being taken away due to a lack of space with the widened interstate and drainage installation.
Lake Ivanhoe looks to be getting a little larger as well, compensating for the increase of permeable surfaces due to the addition of more lanes, with the removal of much of the green space that used to surround the ramp. Much of the trees in the area have already been removed.
The South Street ramp to eastbound I-4 is scheduled to close the second weekend of July. The reconstruction of the I-4 interchange with 408 is being redone, making the closure necessary.
