Following in Orlando’s Project DTO footsteps, the City of Winter Park has launched its year of brainstorming and blue skying of its own, with its Vision Winter Park campaign (Website).
A 21-member stearing committee was appointed on June 8 by the City to work with consultants from Logan Simpson, city staff, and the community to work on a guiding vision for the City’s future.

According to the City, the first of many opportunities for the public to share their input began June 10, and will continue Thursday, June 11; Wednesday, June 24; and Thursday, June 25.  Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., city staff, visioning steering committee members, and the team from Logan Simpson will hold short, 30-minute one-on-one meetings to:

  • Gain feedback on the overall process
  • Find out how to reach others
  • Identify willingness to co-create the plan
  • Identify the unsung heroes already working to make Winter Park a special place.

Meetings will be held at the Rachel D. Murrah Civic Center located at 1050 W. Morse Blvd. To reserve your time, please contact Lisa Smith at [email protected] or 407-599-3324.

For more information regarding the visioning process, or how to become involved, please visit visionwinterpark.org, call 407-599-3665, or email [email protected].
