The Central Florida Expressway Authority will start giving a new free E-PASS to their current customers who have an older model.

Over 210,000 transponders, that do not require batteries, will be handed out by the end of the year. Customers will be contacted by email or postcard if they have been targeted for participation.

Old battery operated E-PASS models will cease to operate after December 31 of this year.
