Pom Moongauklang, the brain behind Pom Pom’s Teahouse and Sandwicheria (Facebook) and the original menu at Tako Cheena (Facebook) is hoping to open a commissary/cooking school in the Milk District. The location is next to Arepas and More and just feet away from our first I Wish This Was location, Hoods Up [Gmap].
The innovative chef will be sharing her secrets with a variety of courses on topics as varied as molecular gastronomy, handcrafted cocktails and butchery. It will also be open to other chefs to teach private cooking classes.
The new shop won’t be ready for another month according to Pom, which makes sense, since she just opened a second location of her award-winning sandwich shop in St. Petersburg.

I like the Perez Hilton style graphic!
Any idea what’s happening with Hoods Up?
Hey Taissa, it’s been owned by the same person for a long time. They’re not interested in selling.
