The third annual The Daily City Cardboard Art Festival(Facebook | Website) is back, but with a few minor changes. Most notably that they’ve moved on from the Mills 50 stomping grounds of the Orange Studio, in favor of setting up in a vacant storefront in Downtown South’s SODO [Gmap].

Editor’s Note: Full disclosure, although I’m not involved this year, I was one of the founding directors of CAF, so it’s not a surprise that this is one of my favorite local art events.

This year’s iteration has an almost entirely new set of corrugated artists, save a few familiar faces like German Lemus and Doug Rhodehamel. The event runs for three days with pop-up performances from SAK Comedy, a DJ Dance Party hosted by DJ Nigel, kid’s activities and more.

Here’s a link to the event in our Calendar.

The schedule is as follows:

Friday July 24:
7-11 p.m.: Opening Night DJ Party ($5 admission)

Saturday July 25:
Noon-5 p.m.: daytime Gallery hours (suggested $5 donation)
1-3 p.m.: Young Artist Building Camp ($1 per young artist)
6:30 p.m. (doors open, performance at 7:30pm): Experimental Improv from SAK Comedy Lab ($5)

Sunday July 26:
12-5 p.m. daytime Gallery Hours (suggested $5 donation)
1-3 p.m. Kids Fringe Cardboard Matinee ($1 per kid)
