According to some concerned readers, Whitewood Mediterranean Grill (Website) has been closed for the past few weeks, without any explanation. We came across some interesting bread crumbs but we’re still not 100 percent sure as to why they’ve been closed. Here’s what we found.

The Daily City wrote about a failed health inspection back in August that revealed over 100 roaches on the premises. You can read that story, HERE. The restaurant closed and then reopened a day later.

They’ve had six consecutive inspections that have each turned up questionable practices that required follow up visits, but none of them seemed serious enough to call for a closure of the restaurant.

We have reached out to Whitewood for further information but have yet to receive any response to our inquiries, and at the time of this post we have no way of knowing if the health inspections were what led to the closure or how long the restaurant will be shut down for.

There are no messages or notes posted at their location or on their Facebook.

If you have any information on this post or maybe some other interesting story, please contact us at [email protected], we’d love to share it with our readers!
