The Winter Park Benefit Shop was established in 1935 as a non-profit organization, and used to be part and parcel with welfare association offices and a health clinic. Currently it is a simple thrift store located in the bottom floor of Winter Park City Hall. The shop will be celebrating its 80th anniversary with a ceremony on Saturday,. October 17, at 10 a.m. on the first floor of the Winter Park Welcome Center [GMap].

They were once located in another building on Lyman Avenue but were relocated to City Hall when their building was torn down. As part of their move, they were given a contract that gave them their current space at City Hall, in perpetuity.

The Shop accepts donations of goods that they then sell at low prices and then give the proceeds to other organizations. The shop is run by local volunteers.

The Benefit Shop is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
