Local artist, Kathleen Fitzgerald, has been painting car windows (or applying “window splash” as she puts it) for the past 34 years. Now because of deteriorating health, Fitzgerald is looking for someone she can train and leave her thriving business to.

Fitzgerald’s window painting business hovers around 13 regular clients, mostly car dealership. She charges a flat fee per window and manages to rake in somewhere between $35,000-$42,000 a year. The job is generally under 40 hours a week but could easily be grown beyond that (Fitzgerald managed to operate her business successfully, all this time, without the aid of a Facebook page or website).

She is asking $6,100 for her business. That includes a month-long apprenticeship where she will train her successor on the ins-and-outs of the trade. She will also be available to work with them, for a nominal fee, on a temporary basis while they find their feet. The deal also includes all contacts and currently contracted accounts.

Fitzgerald asks that applicants be artistically able and capable of visualizing large type and able to work in the elements for long periods of time.

Interested parties should contact Fitzgerald at [email protected] or simply find and message her on Facebook.
