Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has announced that they have received $2 M in corporate gifts from Ravago Americas and Tupperware Brands for the second phase of their buildout.

Each company will be contributing $1 M to the performing arts center, giving them naming rights to the Tupperware Brands Lobby, Tupperware Brands Corporate Hospitality Suite, and the Ravago Terrace Bar on Tier Three of the building.

Phase Two will consist of the 1,700-seat Steinmetz Hall acoustical theater as well as more rehearsal, classroom, and office space.

The current construction timetable projects a ground breaking in the spring of 2016 and a 2019 opening.

According to a press release issued by the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, the current projected cost of Phase 2 is $177 M and approximately $35 M is left to raise toward the completion of the project.
