The long awaited Maddey’s Craft & Cru will be taking over the former home of Chicago’s Stuffed Pizza, on Church Street.
We wrote about the closure of Chicago’s HERE, back in July. Their new home also used to house Cracker’s Oyster Bar, and is tucked behind neighboring Hamburger Mary restaurant.
We assume that the upcoming Italian-inspired American bistro will be making good use of the abandoned equipment left behind by Chicago’s. Earlier stories by us and the Orlando Sentinel noted that the owner, Chef Jason Schofield, had an apparent interest in fresh pasta and artisan pizzas, evidenced by his active Instagram account.
Schofield is shooting for an opening sometime in March.
According to a recent report by Faiyaz Kara of the Orlando Weekly, there is a cellar in the restaurant that will be converted into a cocktail bar called Fine & Dandy.
Nice! It’s such a cool space.
Woah!!! Brian Koetter!!!
