According to a recent post by The Daily City, the long-delayed 19-acre Druid Park will be opening at the end of the month.

The park is located in Orlando’s Coytown neighborhood between Bumby and the Fashion Square Mall [Gmap].

We wrote about this project previously when the Mayor’s office told us that the project was delayed when it was discovered that the soil had been contaminated by a leaked termite-pesticide, which is now, apparently, all cleaned up.

The project site is linked to the Cady Way Trail and will feature bike trails and pump tracks for more experienced riders.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. on October 31 at the park. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bikes to try the trails.

  1. We’ve all been waiting 2+ish years for this park to open. I once told a friend “by the time the city/government gets this park open hell will have frozen over.” Seems fitting that it opens on Halloween. U0001f606 Happy to see it finally open. Thanks to the diligent work of everyone involved, you earned it U0001f44dU0001f3fb
