Uber is partnering with Florida Funders (Website) to bring UberPitch to Orlando on November 13, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. According to a post by Orlando Tech, there are already four investors signed up to take part; Michael O’Donnell and Scott Claus of Florida Angel Nexus, Tom Gawronski of venVelo, and David Chitester of Florida Funders.

Uber users enter the code “ORLANDOPITCH” into their app, and a special UberPitch vehicle will come pick them up, along with a possible investor who will already be in the car waiting for a great idea.

The idea pitcher then has 15 minutes to sell their concept before they are dropped off back at their pick-up location.

As with the cupcake promotion that Uber ran a few months ago, demand will be high and app users are encouraged to keep checking for the next available ride.

  1. “UberPitch vehicle will come pick them up, along with a possible investor “. Does this mean the person in the car might be an imposter or there might not be anyone in the car?
