As we wrote in a past Cool Job Alert, the Downtown South Main Street District has been looking for a new Executive Director. It appears they’ve found it, in the form of past Bungalower contributor, Sarah Elbadri.

The following is taken from a release issued by the Downtown South Main Street office:

Sarah Elbadri is the incoming Executive Director for the Downtown South Main Street District.  Previously, Sarah served as the Marketing Director for Juice Bike Share and worked specifically on community partnerships and growth for the City’s newest mobility option. She also helped launch The Iron Yard, a development bootcamp, in downtown Orlando as its Campus Director.

Sarah received her Master’s degree from Rollins College in Planning of Civic Urbanism.  Her focus on “placemaking” and economic development has grown from her passion for public health, social justice, and community engagement.

As the new Executive Director for Downtown South, Sarah will be working to bring more signature events to the district, increasing connectivity between Downtown Orlando and Downtown South, and helping make Downtown South Orlando’s favorite Main Street. She’s definitely looking forward to getting to know more of the residents and businesses in Downtown South.

Come by Light Up Downtown South THIS SUNDAY to meet her!
