The Orange County Public Art Review Board (OCPARB) is looking for an artist or team of artists to create art for the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC).

The OCCC is spending over $10M to renovate their 62,182 SF  Valencia Ballroom and they are looking for work that can be featured there. The artwork chosen for the space must complement the newly renovated space and “create an impact.”

The OCCC is hoping to find a large organic piece that could be anchored in the four separate corners of the ballroom.

This opportunity is open to any professional artist in any medium. Student artists may apply if they can prove that they have a professional artist that can serve as a mentor during the project.

Selected finalists will be paid a stipend of $1,000 each and must provide a detailed proposal.

All applications must be submitted by January 21, 2016.

For more information on this opportunity, contact [email protected] or contact Terry Oldon, Arts & Cultural Affairs Director at [email protected].
